Dr Jackie Stuart
Dr Jackie Stuart graduated from Dentistry from the University of Queensland in 1986. She practiced as a dental practitioner in Mackay, Queensland for 28 years. The first four years of her career were spent working for Queensland Health in both Government Hospital Practice and then with the School Dental Service. She then practiced for the next 24 years as a private general dental practitioner in in a large practice in Mackay in partnership with three dental associates.
Jackie has recently retired from clinical practice and is currently an adjunct lecturer at the University of Tasmania where she is engaged in writing her PhD on communications between the primary care network and dental practitioners in rural and remote Queensland. She is as part of a team from the Centre of Research Excellence in Primary Oral Health Care funded by the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute (APHCRI).
